Betts-Cadillac Lexus (Des Moines, IA) - aided in diversifying the workplace and consultation regarding minority sensitivity in a working environment.

Broadlawns Medical Center (Des Moines, IA) - Community Consultant

Hotel Fort Des Moines - implemented survey for staff and managers that highlighted employment needs and aided in recruiting and implementing minorities in a more sensitive workplace environment.

Principal Financial Group (Des Moines, IA) - recruited and implemented minority youth in to a summer internship program.

KVI Seabury & Smith (Des Moines, IA) - WF&A's relationship with KVI a division of Seabury and Smith, led to KVI opening a satellite office in the Des Moines Enterprise community to train and hire people in this low income area for jobs in the insurance industry, a project which won a US Small Business Administration award in November of 1998.

Keck Inc. (petroleum and car cleaning) (Des Moines, IA) - implemented survey for staff and management that highlighted minority needs and improved benefit package offered to employees, aided in recruitment and implementation of new employees.

Iowa Barnstormers Arena League Football Team (Des Moines, IA) - community consultant for this professional football team. Aided in finding jobs for the players during the off season. Also coordinated special projects that dealt with community involvement, youth camps and neighborhood ticket giveaways.

Mid American Energy Company (Des Moines, IA) - recruited and implemented minority youth into a summer internship program.

Des Moines Dragons IBA Basketball Team (Des Moines, IA) - coordinated special projects that dealt with community involvement, youth camps and neighborhood ticket giveaways.

ECI Computer Software Company (Des Moines, IA) -aided in recruitment and implementation of new employees.

Iowa Cubs Triple A Baseball Team (Des Moines, IA) - coordinated special projects that dealt with community involvement, youth camps and neighborhood ticket giveaways and aided with new youth initiative including consultation on placement of new baseball fields in low income area.


Non-profit Organizations

YMCA of Greater Des Moines - consultation in a variety of youth development programs.

Children & Families of Iowa - helped in orientating foster care parents on how to better interact with minority children.

Mid City Vision Coalition (Des Moines, IA) - general consulting and aiding in designing and implementing new projects.

Annie E. Casey Foundation (Baltimore, MD) - consultant for the foundation's family centered project in Des Moines, Iowa.


Schools

Drake University Summer Youth Sports Program (Des Moines, IA) - aided in implementation and development of Drake's Summer Youth Program.

Iowa State University\ University of Georgia (Family and Community Health Study) - In 1995 WF&A began working with Iowa State University and the University of Georgia on the Family and Community Health Study, the largest longitudinal study of African American families being conducted in this country at this time.

Centerville Iowa Public School District - developed anti-drug workshop for kids at Centerville High School.

Iowa State University Athletic Department - aided the football and basketball team with freshmen orientation that taught social skills and community involvement.
